Royal National Children's SpringBoard Foundation (RNCSF)
Two Trustees
Role Introduction
RNCSF is a leading social mobility and children’s social care charity, with roots as a 19th‑century orphanage and a modern mission to ensure that the circumstances of a child’s birth do not determine their outcomes in life. Working in partnership with local authorities, community organisations, and over 200 state boarding and independent schools, RNCSF improves access to high‑quality care, education and employment opportunities for some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people.
As the organisation delivers its ambitious 2025–2030 strategy – including a commitment to support 2,000 young people by 2030 and to pioneer new approaches within children’s social care – we are seeking to appoint up to two new Trustees. These roles offer the opportunity to provide strategic leadership at a pivotal moment, helping to shape RNCSF’s next phase of growth and to influence the wider children’s social care and education landscape.
We are looking for individuals who share RNCSF’s deep commitment to social mobility, equality, diversity and inclusion, and who bring insight from either the state education system or the children’s social care and fostering landscape. You may have professional experience in education, social care, policy, or a related field, alongside an understanding of the political and systemic factors affecting vulnerable children and young people. Personally, you will be values‑led, collaborative and child‑centred, with strong judgement, integrity and emotional intelligence.
As a Trustee, you will be able to contribute strategically, support and appropriately challenge the executive, and act as an ambassador for RNCSF, helping the organisation to build partnerships, influence policy and sustain its high impact.
Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is acting as advisor to RNCSF on these appointments. For further information and details of how to apply, please visit roles.saxbam.com and apply using project code RARAGB. Applications should be received by noon on Wednesday 24 June 2026.
