The Kemnal Trust
Two Trustees
Role Introduction
Kemnal is one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the country, with 45 schools across the South and East of England, serving diverse communities and providing education across all phases. With a new Chair and Chief Executive in place, and a bold seven-year strategy focused on ambition, community, opportunity, enrichment and talent, we are entering an important new phase. Building on recent progress, the Trust is focused on delivering consistent, high-quality outcomes across all schools, particularly strengthening secondary performance, while playing a wider role in addressing educational inequality.
We are now seeking to appoint two Trustees to join a skilled and committed Board, bringing deep expertise in improving teaching and learning and education policy to help guide the Trust through this next stage of development. We are looking for experienced education leaders and/or policymakers with a strong track record of delivering school improvement, particularly in complex or challenging contexts and at scale.
You will bring the ability to provide thoughtful advice, robust challenge and strategic insight, supporting the Board and executive team to accelerate improvement across a large and diverse organisation. You do not need to be an experienced Trustee, but you will have a clear understanding of what drives excellent outcomes for young people. You will demonstrate sound judgement, integrity and a commitment to working collaboratively, alongside a strong personal commitment to addressing educational inequality and improving life chances for all pupils.
Saxton Bampfylde Ltd is partnering with Kemnal on this appointment. For further information about the role, including details about how to apply, please visit roles.saxbam.com using reference RBSKC.
