The Howard Partnership Trust (THPT) is a regional, cross-phase multi-academy trust comprising thirteen academies across Surrey, including four secondaries, six primaries and three special schools, with a further special free school in development. Founded in 2007 as a federation of two secondary schools, THPT has grown into a thriving partnership serving around 7,500 young people, with 92% of its schools now rated Good or better by Ofsted. The Trust is known for its distinctive 'eco-system' approach to school improvement and its deep commitment to inclusion, operating specialist COIN centres, vision impairment provision and dedicated special schools alongside its mainstream settings.

As the current Chair, Ian Wilson, concludes his term in the summer after a very successful tenure, THPT is seeking an exceptional successor to lead its Board of Trustees. This is an opportunity to provide strategic leadership at a pivotal moment for the Trust, working closely with the CEO and a skilled, values-driven Board to ensure the continued delivery of life-changing education for all learners.

The successful candidate will bring significant board-level or senior leadership experience in large, complex organisations, along with strong strategic thinking, outstanding interpersonal skills and a passion for education.
